Welcome to the Q&A podcast. Jill Geisler is Loyola University Chicago's Bill Plante Chair in Leadership and Media Integrity. She teaches and coaches leaders and managers worldwide. She holds a masters degree in leadership studies. Her undergrad degree is in journalism. She was among the first women to lead a major market TV newsroom in the United States.
After 25 successful years in that industry, she moved into education, becoming one of the country's pre-eminent voices in media leadership. She is the author of the book, "Work Happy: What Great Bosses Know." She teaches ethics to students at Loyola's School of Communication and leadership to managers in all professions, throughout the world.
As you will see in this podcast, she's earned a reputation for bringing humor and humanity to her teaching, and for bridging the world of research and theory into practical, useful advice that managers can put to work immediately.
